About Nikky & The Team

Collage of three cheerful photos featuring the founders of Innabox, a UK-based brand creating uplifting products inspired by disability and chronic illness. The background is bright red with cartoon characters including a neurodivergent ant, a "Purrlen Syndrome" cat, and a mantis holding a sign reading "End the Stickma." One photo shows the founders outside Ryman Design holding Innabox cards, another in front of an "Invisible Illness Club" display, and one smiling together. Fun, colourful artwork highlights themes of neurodivergence, AUADHD, and hidden disabilities.

Who we are

Hello, I'm Nikky, I'm in my 30's and I run this biz with my partner Stevie, two cats Teddy and Ember and my online team who consists of Amy @amydaviesphotography & Faeryn @faerynfrog. They help me update the site, SEO, take new photos and generally give me a helping hand.

Portrait of the founder of Innabox, a UK small business that creates disability-inspired products to support people with chronic illness and hidden disabilities. She’s wearing bright, colourful clothing and is surrounded by cartoon characters representing conditions like ADHD, anxiety, C-PTSD, endometriosis, and SEN. A ghost character holds a heart reading “Invisible Illness Club,” and a guinea pig holds a heart saying “it’s guinea be OK.” The red and rainbow-toned background adds to the uplifting, empowering vibe of the image.

How it all started

The invisible illness club was born 4.5 years ago also but I've been running Innabox for 12 years all together!

Throwback photo of Nikky, founder of Innabox, standing at her early market stall under a rainbow banner that reads “We Make it Vibrant.” The stall features greeting cards and colourful badge designs inspired by mental health and neurodivergence. A red text overlay reads, “This woman decided to start a business and try to find herself again despite living back ‘home’ with toxic parents,” reflecting the brand’s empowering origin story. Innabox supports people with chronic illness and hidden disabilities through joyful, relatable products.

I changed paths with my business once deciding to talk about my health journey with terrible stomach and bladder issues to name a few and shortly after that was diagnosed with severe stage 4 endometriosis. I went on to have a major surgery where I almost ended up with a stoma bag and since then have been focusing on healing. I use a lot of holistic methods now as well as addressing trauma. It's had a huge effect on my life but relocating from London to Derby 2 years ago was the best decision I've ever made!

Nikky, founder of Innabox, stands behind her colourful market stall filled with disability awareness gifts and neurodivergent-themed products. The stall includes bright cards, stickers, and pins, with signs reading “Invisible Illness Club” and “Brain Frog.” A banner and props feature cute illustrated characters representing ADHD, autism, anxiety, and chronic illness. This vibrant outdoor setup showcases Innabox’s mission to uplift those with hidden disabilities through fun and supportive designs.
